Fatigued, Depressed, Difficulty with Weight Loss. Dr Hagmeyer From NeuroMetabolic Solutions of Naperville Il Explains Why.
Fatigued, depressed, difficulty losing weight..? It may be due to your hormones. I know, these days it seems it seems like everyone is blaming everything on hormones. But, lets take a closer look at why so many women are suffering miserably from Fatigue, depression and difficulty loosing weight despite dieting and exercise.
Your endocrine system is made of glands that produce and send hormones to all areas of our body to regulate the essential functions of our body like temperature, reproduction, growth, immunity, and aging, it stands to reason that this should be the hub of vitality, longevity and well being. Many individuals are getting remarkable results from having their hormones optimized.
Specialized hormonal testing can be utilized to bring your hormones into optimal functional ranges. Functional ranges are very different than ranges called pathological ranges used in typical blood work.
Functional ranges give a clearer picture of how healthy an individual is. Standard blood work is really designed for looking at advanced diseased states and by then it’s too late. Individuals often suffer for years being told that their thyroid, testosterone, estrogen, progesterone and adrenals are fine.
Standard blood tests only pick up the sickest 2.5% of the population. Many people are finding that common problems of fatigue, depression and difficulty losing weight can be completely reversed by physicians that specialize in hormone optimization, functional endocrinology, Immune function and Brain Based Therapy.
This is what the Naperville Institute For Neurometabolic Solutions is known for. Many of the common complaints that rarely get addressed by standard medicine can be remedied by optimizing hormones, and implementing Dr Hagmeyers approach.

What complaints am I talking about?
These include complaints such as, I can’t lose weight like I use to…I don’t get as much results from working out as I used to…What happened to that feeling of well-being…I feel depressed…My body aches… My skin is dry and rough…My joints hurt…I am aging faster than I would like…I sure get tired easily…I feel cold all the time…My libido is shot…My hair is thinning…I don’t feel right…My nails break so easily…I get sick easily…I get frequent headaches… My muscles are sore…I seem to retain water…I’m always constipated…I don’t feel like I used to…I have PMS…I have lost my motivation…I am being treated for depression but I’m still depressed… I’m not getting much relief from my treatment for chronic fatigue syndrome or fibromyalgia…I’m being treated for hypothyroidism, but I’m still tired.
Two of the biggest problems are low thyroid and Elevated Estrogen also known as Estrogen dominance.
Many women are told over and over that their estrogen levels and thyroid levels are fine, but upon further investigation have low thyroid levels overstressed adrenal glands, and Estrogen/Progesterone hormonal imbalances. For many of these women years of hormonal imbalance exacerbated by Oral conraceptives, patches, creams, and medications to stop the menstrual cycle are the culprits.
Have you ever wondered why 1 in every 8 women will suffer with some form of cancer?
Estrogen stimulates growth and division of cells. Cancer is the unchecked growth and unchecked cellular divison. When it comes to thyroid, many women, do not adequately convert T4 to the active T3, this resultis in low levels of active thyroid hormone (T3) and symptoms of low thyroid with a normal TSH. But, there is another problem in that T4 cannot only be converted to T3, but it can also be converted to reverse T3, which is inactive and blocks the thyroid receptor again causing low thyroid function. This often occurs in women who have been under episodes of stress.
